பண்டுநான் பரித்தெறிந்த பன்மலர்கள் எத்தனை?

பாழிலே செபித்துவிட்ட மந்திரங்கள் எத்தனை?

மிண்டனாய்த் திரிந்தபோது இரைத்தநீர்கள் எத்தனை?

மீளவும் சிவாலயங்கள் சுழவந்தது எத்தனை?

அண்டர்கோன் இருப்பிடம் அறிந்து உணர்ந்த ஞானிகள்

பண்டறிந்த பான்மைதன்னை யார்அறிய வல்லரே?

விண்டவேத பொருளை அன்றி வேறுகூற வகையிலா

கண்டகோயில் தெய்வம் என்று கையெடுப்பது இல்லையே!

How many different flowers did I pluck and throw upon* in the past?

How many mantras did I recite upon* for demise?

When I wandered around like a fool how many times have I offered* water?

Seeking salvation how many times have I come around* Siva temples?

The enlightened ones who knew by realization the residing place of the supreme self**

Who the able can understand that subtle state needed for realization?

Since other than the supreme self** there isn’t anything to speak about

Seeing the temples as God, I don’t raise my hands to bow to them!
