You raise fire, pour ghee; day after day in
water
You enjoy taking a bath; you listen to the holy
words;
The fire and water* is within you, you are not
able to realize and invoke them within
If so, you can keep making love*** to the ever blossoming
lamp!
—Siddhar
Sivavakkiyar Hymn (029)
* Fire and water can be considered as the energy flows in suryakalai and chandrakalai respectively, when they rush and entwine at the forehead, they open up showing us the dazzling white path** through which one (the consciousness) can see and keep resting on the ever blossoming divine lamp.
** The path can be considered as water since it is an entwined energy flow in itself, and the lamp can be considered as fire that which floats on the water. So one senses the feeling of floating during deep samadhis.
*** It is not about sexual intercourse. Just to make the intimacy easily understandable, I have mentioned it as 'making love'.
